  Budgeting

"It might feel like it's cramping your style, but if you make a budget that suits you, it can be one of your most powerful tools for getting ahead financially."
We all work hard for our money, so it’s natural we want to get the most from it. A budget is a really effective way of making the most of the money we have.

Faith
Te Puna has a skilled budgeter, Faith Silvester who can give you support and advice in creating (and sticking to) a budget. Faith has the know-how to ensure creating a budget for you and your whanau is a positive experience.
If you are registered with Te Puna you are entitled to access our budgeting services at no cost.
Budgeting helps us afford our short-term goals like paying the bills, buying clothes, going to the movies, or taking the whanau out for kai. It’s also for longer-term financial goals like buying a home or a car, or taking a holiday. When you take control of your financial affairs, you’re more confident about the future.
If you would like support with your budget or if you want free advice on budgeting, please phone Faith Silvester on (09) 489 0195 or 021 669 417

Here is a Budget spreadsheet which is a great starting point if you are thinking of creating a budget. (Using a computer spreadsheet like this one takes a lot of the maths out!!)

Download the budget spreadsheet here Budget (Excel file)

Sometimes creating a budget can indentify areas of need. If you need some budgeting advice or help filling out the worksheet, please give Faith a call
